The company has invested more than 11 billion dollars in electrification in an effort to put some forty electric vehicles on the road between now and 2022.

Now that they’ve announced their intentions to take the lead in terms of electric vehicles, the people at Ford have already started getting to work. These SUVs are not just inspiring; they’re downright inspired. The brand-new fully electric SUV that Ford will release in 2020 bears the name Mach 1. A designation that brings to mind the golden age of high-performance Mustangs more than 50 years ago.

In fact, the Ford Mach 1 electric SUV will be like the perfect cross between a Ford Escape and a Ford Mustang. A spacious, sporty crossover. It will bring together the best of both worlds with the vigor of the Mustang and the flexibility of the Escape.
