The Ford F-150, the favorite pickup of Canadians everywhere, will be back with a bang in an all-electric version! In fact, everything leads us to believe that the all-new 2022 F-150 Electric will be roaming our streets sometime next year. Ford affirms that the capacities of this powerful workhorse will easily rival those of its competitors, including the Tesla Cybertruck and the GMC Hummer EV. Following on the heels of the Mustang Mach-E, this will be the second Ford vehicle to appear in an all-electric version.

Power and resilience in the F-150 Electric

Does the mere thought of an electric pickup frighten you? You’d better think again! The Ford F-150 Electric will be just as powerful if not more so than its gasoline-powered cousin. We’re talking about 450+ horsepower and even more impressive acceleration than that of its predecessors. Furthermore, maintenance costs for the Ford F-150 Electric will be about 40 percent lower.

The Ford F-150, whether in the electric, gasoline or hybrid version, won’t lose one bit of its built-tough image on the worksite. In fact, its full-length bed can be equipped with the Pro Power Onboard system, which is the equivalent of an onboard generator, allowing you to connect a number of power tools. Since its two electric motors are located underneath the vehicle, there’s plenty of cargo volume available under the hood.
