Ford is remodeling its compact crossover, the Escape, for 2023, and fans are about to witness changes destined to propel the vehicle to the ranks of best-seller.

The Ford Escape will benefit from a look that’s more modern and confidant, and this new aggressive styling is certainly a more accurate reflection of the power this admirable SUV is capable of mustering.

At first glance, we can see that the 2023 Ford Escape now features angular LED headlights connected by a light bar running along the top of the grille. Meanwhile, the grille, itself, is smaller and sits atop a new squared-off bumper sporting prominent fog lights.

Under the hood

In terms of power, the Ford Escape already flexes its muscles with several different options in powertrains.

With the standard 1.5 L three-cylinder engine, it can produce 191 horsepower. However, if you opt for the 2.0 L four-cylinder engine, you can count on 250 horsepower and an exciting 280 pound-feet of torque.

Joining the lineup is a 2.5 L four-cylinder engine combined with an electric motor in the hybrid and plug-in hybrid models. This configuration can unleash up to 200 horsepower. And depending on the engine, the Escape can go from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 6.7 to 8.5 seconds.
